Project Deathmatch

So about a year ago I started compiling a design document for a Microsoft XNA Project titled "Project Deathmatch".

The main design was to take many of the elements that make up 3D Deathmatch games and port these into a top-down 2D shooter.

Not really all that much to show yet as I am in the early stages of programming the game engine and creating the resources, but I do have a sample of what the main avatar who will have an array of customisable clothes, skin colours and facial features.

SS Tea Cup at Night

I can't sleep right now so thought I would post my updates to the SS Tea Cup tileset.

Not everything is finished yet. I am especially having problems with the rope ladder palette. I need something better than what I am currently using as the white looks a bit washed out to me.

- Added the Stove Canyon lava to the tileset
- Imperfections (the holes in the criss-cross and cracks in the pillars)
- Fire shooting bird ornament
- The platforms on the top and bottom of each pillar (changed to suit the rest of my tilesets)

Stove Canyon Redesign

This was something I was meant to post a while back but due to a failure with the posting here I was unable to. Managed to already show it off at SMW Central but for consistencies sake I will show it here too.

Big redesign (nearly all of it) for Stove Canyon.

So what's next? Well I'm looking into compiling a lot of my work into the ROM in preperation to show it off in a video.
